Interesting...
The arduino is plugged in to the USB - the loop is doing as it should
The arduino is plugged into a 9v battery - it is not working properly
The arduino is given a fresh battery -still not working properly
The arduino is plugged back into the computer USB - working fine
The computer is disconnected from auxiliary power and runs of it's battery - not working.
Something is going on here and I have no idea what it is.
More research to be done!
