Finished

The best bit about getting assignments finished a few days early is that there is time left for refinements.

The physical circuit, including the Arduio and breadboard have been rewired to make things look a little bit neater (although it still resembles a bird's nest).

Push button switches with integrated LEDs have been used. Rather than having separate components sitting on a breadboard they can now be mounted onto the model where they belong. This will better communicate the idea of how the bed works as what you see is a lot closer to what you get.

In real life these would be able to be used as reading lights and would only flash when the alarm is going off.

The model has been upgraded from MDF to ply with a foamcore mattress. The reduced weight of the foam core will present less resistance for the servo which is a good thing.

When the glue dries it will be time for a test run.

and here is the test run...
